I got this phone one month ago and I'm very satisfied with it. The multimedia resources are outstanding to my demands, the camera does what is expected from a 3.2Mpix, has a good color saturation and works very well for bar code reading. It has wi-fi, 3g, 2g, bluetooth conectivity ready to go. The GPS unit, while not as fast and sensible like my Etrex Legend HCx, is faster than my Etrex Legend (no High-sensivity) and integrates very well with Nokia Maps and third part applications (Google Maps, Google Latitude, GPSed, etc). Some people complained about the keyboard, I have no complains about it, it works fine. I only miss a cover/protection for the camera window.

My first phone was sent back as the key pad would not allow me to unlock the phone - not a good start.2nd phone still going after 8 months, result.Biggest problem is how slow the phones is, the lag is terrible, navigating would try the patient of a saint.2nd biggest is the key lay out as per other reviews; starting or ending calls is difficult.

I replaced my bulky, but reliable Nokia N95 with the N78 and find that the phone works OK - form factor is great, sound quality is good, the ever-reliable Nokia UI is excellent, however am a bit disappointed with the following:1. Build quality is not great - feels very plasticky - and the keys are non-responsive at times2. The battery cover seems to come a little loose after a while3. The glossy black surface, although very appealing to the eye, is prone to smudges, and one has to spend some time on a daily-basis cleaning the smudgesOverall, a good phone for the features available, usable across the world's different GSM bands.

Maybe I'm baised because I currently am using an N82 in black, which I love. Also Nokia's camera icons and menus are a delight to use. I have been looking for the perfect phone for my girlfriend for some time now and I have finally settled on the N78 for the features and extra's. The keypad not being seen without it being lit up is a nice touch.

Buttons are a little cramped but if you use your finger tips one really gets adjusted to it. Auto focus is fast and accurate, press the shutter halfway and it focuses and full press takes the photo.no shutter lag at all. Looks great in black with grey sides. Very Sleek and sexy.~Feature pack 2 is fantastic. Loud and crisp for music and speaker phone.~GPS is great.

I purchased this phone for an X-mas present and it is soon to given to the new owner. I feel the buttons are better and more responsive than my N82.~Overall handset/operation system speed. Fast and crisp. Great little camera for a cellphone, led flash is not bad. It's big enough for browsing wifi networks and seems alot brighter than my N82.~Build Quality is fantastic, something to be expected from Nokia N series. Even better with Google Maps, the best program every invented for phones with GPS.~Music play back is awesome. about this phone let just tell you it is everything if not more than what I have come to expect coming from Nokia.

The additional animations totally give the S60 operating system all the glitz and glam that was missing in feature pack 1.and yes it looks way nicer than my N82 =(~2.4" Screen, its big and colors look fantastic. Nice in my hand not to small or to big. Sometimes I forget I'm using a cellphone for pictures.~2 Stereo speakers. Its worth it, you use a cell phone everyday.why not get one that has everything.
